Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. Here are the ones we hear most.

PEMF Therapy

PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy. A pulsating electromagnetic field is delivered to the body through a coil, which stimulates cell metabolism, increases oxygenation, and reduces inflammation. It's a straightforward way to support your body's own repair processes without side effects.

PEMF is generally safe for most people. However, we recommend consulting your doctor beforehand. MagnaWave machines are not medical devices and do not treat, cure, or diagnose diseases.

The technology behind PEMF has existed for centuries. The manufacturer, MagnaWave, was founded in 2002 and has been providing professional-grade PEMF devices since then.

Whole-body treatment increases blood oxygen everywhere, which helps the affected area but also stimulates acupuncture points that reduce pain and inflammation throughout your system. Think of it as a tune-up for everything, not just the squeaky wheel.

Normal session times are 20-30 minutes, but can vary depending on the situation and specific needs of the client.

Results vary from days to weeks depending on the issue being treated. For performance improvement, 1-2 sessions per week is typically recommended.

It depends on your body. Some people feel energized right away. Others feel a bit tired or notice detox-like symptoms. That's normal, and it usually just means your body is responding. Stay hydrated and give yourself some rest if needed.

Compression Therapy

NormaTec uses compressed air to massage the body's limbs through a patented massage pattern that mimics muscle pumps. This moves fluid out of the body, offering pain relief, improved recovery, and reduced inflammation.

Sessions typically last 20-60 minutes and can be used daily, either before or after exercise.

NormaTec is suitable for people of all fitness levels, including athletes, people with chronic pain, and those recovering from injuries. However, it is contraindicated for patients with fractures, recent surgery, open wounds, DVT, severe arterial disease, and certain other conditions.

Wear comfortable, tight-fitting clothing that lays flat against your skin. Avoid denim, zippers, and body jewelry for the best experience.

Red Light Therapy

Red light penetrates the skin, stimulating the mitochondria in cells to produce more energy. This enhanced energy production improves cellular repair and regeneration, addressing pain at the source.

We start new clients at 10-20% intensity for 3-5 sessions in the first week, gradually increasing over two weeks. Initial sessions begin with 2 minutes per area at 12 inches away.

The devices remain warm but not hot. Most people find red light therapy comfortable and deeply relaxing. The warmth comes from increased circulation in the treated area.

There aren't simple answers here. Some studies show benefits for certain active cancers and managing cancer treatment side effects. We strongly recommend talking to your doctor before starting therapy.

Yes! Blue light combined with red and near-infrared light has been shown to help with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and circadian rhythm regulation.

Enhanced blood flow maintains muscle oxygen levels, improving workout capability and recovery times. It also supports muscle repair and can aid weight loss goals.

Sound Therapy (BrainTap)

BrainTap is a binaural beats system combined with light frequency therapy. It uses guided audio sessions to help your brain relax and recalibrate. It's great for stress, focus, sleep, and mental clarity. Most sessions are about 20 minutes.

BrainTap delivers specific sound frequencies through headphones combined with gentle light pulses through a specialized headset. These frequencies guide your brainwaves into states of deep relaxation, focus, or restful sleep depending on the program selected.

Yes, BrainTap is non-invasive and safe for most people. However, those with epilepsy or photosensitive conditions should consult their physician before using the light frequency component.

People use it for stress and anxiety, sleep problems, trouble focusing, mood issues, and general mental sharpness. It's one of those things where the range of benefits surprises people.

Vibroacoustic Therapy (Wave Oasis Mat)

Vibroacoustic therapy uses the Wave Oasis Mat to combine electromagnetic therapy with deep-tissue sound vibrations. You lie on the mat while specific frequencies pass through your body. Most people describe it as deeply relaxing, and many actually fall asleep.

Most people describe the experience as deeply relaxing and immersive. You feel gentle vibrations throughout your body that create a sensation of deep tissue massage combined with a meditative state. Many clients fall asleep during sessions.

Sessions typically last 20-40 minutes. The duration can be adjusted based on your comfort level and the specific therapeutic goals of the session.

Absolutely. It pairs really well with PEMF and red light therapy. A lot of our clients do combination sessions because the therapies build on each other, and you tend to get more out of both.

Infrared Sauna

An infrared sauna uses far-infrared light to warm your body directly rather than heating the air around you. You get the detox and recovery benefits of a traditional sauna at a more comfortable temperature — usually 120–140°F instead of 180–200°F.

Most sessions run 30–45 minutes. First-timers usually start around 20 minutes at a lower temperature to see how their body responds, then work up from there.

Something light and breathable — loose shorts and a tee, a bathing suit, or just a towel. Bring a change of clothes; you will sweat. We provide clean towels.

Infrared heat supports detox through sweat, helps with muscle recovery, improves circulation, and is deeply relaxing. Regular users also report better sleep and clearer skin.

Skip it or check with your doctor first if you are pregnant, have uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, a cardiovascular condition, a recent injury with active inflammation, or any implant your physician has asked you to keep away from heat. If you're on medication that affects hydration or heat tolerance, talk to your doctor before your first session.
